Kennedy, Luxembourg).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>The event will begin at 1.45pm with a welcome for participants, followed by speeches by Mr <strong>Charel Schmit<\/strong> (Ombudsman fir Kanner a Jugendlecher) and Ms <strong>Elisabeth Margue<\/strong> (Minister of Justice). <strong>Isabel Wiseler-Lima<\/strong> MEP and<strong> Benoit Van Keirsbilck<\/strong>, member of the United Nations Committee on the Rights of the Child, will speak on the importance of youth-friendly justice. <\/p>\n\n<p>A round table, moderated by <strong>Paul Demaret<\/strong>, will bring together various experts, including<strong> Odile Buchet<\/strong>, representatives of the Jugendparlament and the University of Luxembourg, <strong>Alexandra Huberty<\/strong> (Luxembourg District Court), and <strong>Nathalie Barth\u00e9l\u00e9my<\/strong> (member of the Luxembourg Bar). The day will close with a speech by<strong> Anne Calteux<\/strong>, the European Commission&#8217;s representative in Luxembourg, followed by a closing drink and a tour of the Europa Experience centre. <\/p>\n\n<p>This event will address access to justice for children, a key theme of General Comment No. 27 of the Committee on the Rights of the Child, which stresses the importance of appropriate and accessible mechanisms for all children.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Registration<\/strong><br\/>To take part, <a href=\"https:\/\/ep-events.secure.europarl.europa.eu\/eploluxembourg\/DroitsEnfants2024\/e\/ce\/\">register online<\/a>.
