Are you under 18? Make your voice heard!

The Ombudsman for Children and Young People (OKAJU) defends the rights of children and young people in Luxembourg. Every year, the OKAJU publishes a report (a kind of book) about their rights, explaining what is going well, but also what is not going well and should change.

This year’s report is called “In the Shoes of Children and Young People”. To prepare it, we have already collected responses from 1,172 children and young people. We now want to learn even more about the topics they raised so that we can better understand the experiences of children and young people in Luxembourg.

You can send us: a testimony, a text, a drawing, a painting, a collage, a photo, an audio recording, a song, a video …

The topics you can contribute to and all the information you need to take part can be found on the flyer here:

You can take part on your own or together with other children and young people, with your class, group, club or another organisation (for example your maison relais).

You can submit a contribution until 9th October 2026.

Some contributions will be selected and published in the OKAJU’s 2026 annual report, if you agree. The contributions will help the OKAJU better understand the experiences of children and young people and make recommendations on how to improve things.

Your voice matters. Thank you for taking part!
